does anyone know the details of what was all about that fighting after their match ? Thai TV has shown several times this scene, as well as commenting that it has began during break actually after 1st half, which wasn not shown during match broadcasting itself.

the comments were also that FIFA promised to punish severely both ARg and German player(s) involved. later there was an update that Argentinian player anounced he "quit" or something - I am not sure what exactly, my wife has translated for me from Thai.

I'm surprised ther is a lot of talks going on about England here but not much, if at all, mentioned about this match. it seems that most TV members are brits or what ?

Argentina were my second favorite team after Brazil. such a shame they were ousted.

and the whole situation. I think that the guy (well, who that might be, huh? no one else than ... Klose - one of Germans' best striker, who's expressed himself so powerfully after scoring his goal later ) who kicked Arg goalkeeper in the ribs deserved red card. I think if Abbondanzieri wasn't carried away and replaced by less experienced Franco (although he was mentioned by his nick-name "leopard" or something - apperently for his speed abilities?) - I bet no Klose's goal was likely to happen at all, nor Franco's failure to block 4 balls in penaltie shoot out !

they say "Lehmann was the hero for Germany" - well, that might be, after all, a lot depended on him too. but again, I think if not for that nusty blow to ribs (although official website reports - "to hip") - there was no bloody way for Germans to progress to semis.

Argentina was in my opinion the team which has performed THE BEST till then in whole tournament, even though I like Brazil more.

what a shame they lost ! I think referee was more partial towards Germans. although Rooney (England's favorite striker) wasn't too much fussed about to send to the bench, apperently this referee Lubos Michel (from Slovakia) did nothing - even yellow card - to Klose !

I realy would like to know - if anyone could provide more details than officially reported (may be on some blogs?) - what was the fighting about after the final whistle.

but then, of course Argentina failed to score on penalties same as England. that is not excuse even if Franco was less experienced than Abbondanzieri.

anyway, there is common opinion that World cup is usually won by one of Europian teams while hosted on Europe soil. this time it has been proved so - only all europian teams are in the semi-finals ! it is a small , yet at least some relief for me from shock of both Argentina and Brazil leaving tournament.

now it looks more like Germany would get the trophy after all - another common rule, that hosts usually have more chances to win. Although other 3 teams are good enough too.
