Retired American looking for a house within easy commuting distance of the airport.

My girlfriend and I would like to rent/lease a 2 or 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in a quiet community. We enjoy cooking and gardening so a great kitchen and/or small yard are an added bonus. Our budget is +- 30,000B/ month. We're looking to move in the end of August.

Any leads or recommendations can be send via PM and would be greatly appreciated.

Search for ddproperty.com, choose the English version.

On the first page choose, house to rent, choose Bangkok, then choose district Don Muang, plenty of houses to rent, take your pick.

Making a 90 day report first time in a few years.

I've been doing online 90 day reports for a few years, but because I'm about to get a new passport I believe the next 90 day has to be done in person. The last time I did a report at Jomtien it was only necessary to present your passport, now I believe there are a couple of forms to fill out. I have been at the same address for 16 years, do I still have to fill out a TM30?

I'm not sure why this is 'even a thing'.... Its simply terrible schooling that allows this to become an issue and force authorities to push regulation. At my sons school the rules are simple. - Having a phone is no issue at all. - In the school day it remains out of sight / on silent. - It can be used at the end of the after school hours. - It cannot be used in break times or lunch times. - Children can call their parents at lunch time - if they need to with permission of a teacher. Meanwhile, the phones are also an excellent academic resource. Students homework is set on an app - he receives notifications that he has new homework. He checks of his homework on the app when its done. We (parents) also have the App and can see what work the students have been set - when its been submitted etc.

Sorry for the laugh emoji, there are too few to express what I feel. This is EXACTLY what govts want. They want us to STFU. But if we all cave, nothing will change. I was a tax resister, part of a larger group. Several had their houses seized and auctioned. We bought them back which means govt eventually got some money. But meanwhile, we made the issue public: don't pay for unjust wars.

Sadly the State of Israel seems quite comfortable to hold Palestinians collectively responsible for actions of Hezbollah and Hamas. I support the goal of eliminating Hamas and Hezbollah as threats to the Jewish people, and I fully supported Israel's initial response to the 7 October atrocities. I do not support Israel's subsequently wholly disproportionate and ongoing response. I support the right of the state of Israel to exist. I also support the right of Palestinians to live peacefully in an independent state. How these apparently mutually exclusive goals can be achieved, I have no idea.
