The average wage in Thailand is low and contributes to the reason why it's cheap to visit or live in Thailand. If they paid a decent wage prices would have to rise but at the moment they are rising anyway from exploitation and greed. I have seen many products in 7/11 that are as expensive as my own Country, Ireland , which is the second most expensive country in the EU.yes, import taxes , which are ludicrous, do account for this, wine being the best example, but sheer profiteering is rife. -

I don't really understand your post Sir. My position has remained unchanged for 50 years. That position was formulated during research at medical school when in my 20s. It is not an easy position to explain unless you, and any of the other sheep, are willing to listen, take note note, and debate. But I'll put it in a nut-shell for you. It's not a computer, it's not a petri dish, it's not some fool white-coat spouting nonsense, it's understanding how nature works that will give us the answers. We can fulfill our true destiny if we embrace 'truth' and love nature. -

Has any American here started Medicare, Stopped it, then started it again?
It's my understanding the Part B penalty is based on "12 month periods (i.e., full year) " not enrolled; it's not based on fractional years. So it would not be prorated. Say for example you enrolled 12 months late during an authorized enrollment period....that's a 10% penalty. If enrolling 24 months late then 20%. But what about some period between 12 and 24 (or any fractional year period)? Well, if by some Medicare enrollment provision that you could enroll/reenroll 13 to 23 months late since that did not equal the next "whole 12 month" period of 24 months" then the late enrollment fee would be 10% for only a 12 month/1 year period. See calculators below for some examples. And preaching to choir I'm sure when I say a person can only enroll/rerolled under during certain times/under certain conditions. It's not like someone who is at least 65 wakes up one day and decides to enroll and calls up Medicare or visit a SSA office to enroll hoping they will be enrolled effective the beginning of the upcoming month....nope, when a person will be able to enroll/reenroll will depends on the open season/special enrollment period which would apply to the person which means he might not get enrolled until numerous months later which might effect the penalty percentage since it based on date the enrollment become effective vs the day someone applied for enrollment. https://themedicarefamily.com/calculators/part-b-penalty/ https://www.resourcemedicare.com/medicare-tools/penalty-calculators -

Driving me INSANE. I made the mistake of changing all my limits to 1 k for security purposes then thought better of it BUT when I went back to change them to 20k the app required a "selfie" using the built in camera app. After several attempts and hours of wasted time I rang my bank and asked them for help but USELESS. I then went through the same agony with my other bank. No Luck. Ive come to the conclusion it's a two man operation. That's how it worked for me weeks ago.
