3 hours til kick off.

Zidane will start. Figo, Deco and Ronaldo will start.

Undoubtedly, the small balls will try to get zizou a second yellow, and maybe two in this game.

Henry and trezeguet had better be HOT!

France are unbeaten against Portugal in World Cup Tournaments.

Suspense Builds.... Who will meet Italy in the finals. (and beat the Wops) ......

Allez Les Bleu´s

On va Gagner!

Go Blue´s

We will win!

Well Done France And good luck in the finals... During a press confference Mr Blatter told the reporter that FIFA is seriously looking at Cristiano Ronaldo behavior as there are too many complaint from other players and official that he Dive too much...

I can say that the ref and linesman on duty during the France and Portugal are really doing their job well but not getting fools by the portugese play acting ....

what i saw was the portuguese player already laying on the floor, henry running towards him and barely touching his leg with the foot he wasnt't even standing on, then falling to the ground as if he got hit by a bus. maybe the world saw something else, but that's me.

1-0 to france thanks to henry falling over his own feet.

I don`t like penalties much more than anyone else, but I saw the replay about seventeen times, and accidental or not, he was HOOKED by the other guys foot.

So a penatly was correct in the circumstances.

a penalty too.

Ronaldo (christian) is the biggest fuc.king mummy´s boy in football today. Sure, he DOES have some talent. I will not argue that. He does.

But jeez, He (she?) dives, and falls and complains everywhere.

I can understand really well, NOW, why Nistlerooy, Rooney, etc.. don´t like him at all.

He`s just a spoilt rich kid, who happens to have a little talent.

Zidane and Figo were absolute examples to EVERYBODY. They played like gentlemen. Without sucking up to anybody, and without the excessive fairplayof yesterday´s game.

Sort of half way between Fairplay of FiFa and the WAR of Felipao Scolari.

Of course, today, both were being careful to not get a second yellow to take `em out the final.

I enjoyed the game. First half more. Sadly only the one penalty, but the second half got good towards the end, and I enjoyed seeing portugal going all out, with goal keeper right there by the french penalty box and all... NOTHING TO LOSE.

This was football. Perhaps not at it´s best, but pretty darned close.

Wow what happens if he really is going to Real Madrid? Most of the Brazillian players there comes from a poor family background before becoming a big star... im sure CR will find it hard in Real Madrid too

Frogs dove - another bad officiating decided a match. :o

Agree with Britmaveric . . . shame that diving is in every game and has decided so many, Italy v Oz, this one and others . . .

The constant "booing" of Ronaldo every time he got the ball (must have been alot of England supporters in the crowd) is just a fore taste of what he can expect if he returns to England next season. It may be perhaps best for him to move to Madrid as he has said he wants, just wonder what 'Ferggie' may have to say about it. It brings back memories of the Turkish player from Aston Villa who 'got involved' with David Beckham after a penalty miss in a qualifying match a while back, even the fans in Birmingham turned on him and he was soon transfered out of the club and out of the country.

Maybe that's the reason Scholari turned down England job, and maybe that's the reason England never goes beyond quarters - they turn everything in personal issues and make a circus out of it. The game itself moves on to the second plan. "Football is more important than life and death", but hot news and gossips are even more important than football.

Henry did not dive, not on that occasion. The defender clipped his "hind" leg. When I was young we used to play tricks like that during PE classes - even a slightest touch and the guy can't bring his leg to the front and falls over, or you can make him trip over his own leg if you nudge his "hind" foot to the side. I think that was the case with Shevchenko's penalty earlier in the tournament.

Fair Play, we have won once , got to a few semi's as well. I agree though , the media circus always seems to ensure that we look stupid if we don't meet their expectations.

I expect little from Mr Gingernut...... :o

I think, but I´m not sure, that zidane got both awards in the 98 world cup.

i vote zidane anyway. He is an example to every other player.

Modest, humble, team player. Talented to the extreme. joins pele, maradona, platini, cruyff and the rest.

Imho!

yes, I agree - Zidane is worthy !

would have been great to honour him at last before his final retirement.

especially if France wins the trophy once more - as many predict is more chances than Italy would.

BTW in '98 Ronaldo got this award, not Zidane - perhaps some "compensation" / consolation to him - since French denied his team a main trophy ? although Ronaldo said clearly (after breaking last record of 15 goals in wc turnament) - that such rewards are nice, yet main reward is always - the CUP.

so, perhaps if France wins this time - they'll again give this award to player from some other team. Oliver Khan got it in 2002 - again from team which DIDN't Get (but almost) the main trophy.
