Golden Myanmar Airlines on 23SEP14 is launching new international service to Northern Thailand, with 3 weekly Yangon – Chiang Mai route. Airbus A320 aircraft is assigned for this route.

wow thats a good price :)

 

now if i can find some reasonable hotels in yangon like this one in mandalay for about 50 dollars a night ;)

 

not their rediculous 200 or 300 dollars a night prices :(

 

dave2 will be going on holiday there for a few weeks quicker than a rat up a drainpipe !

Wow, I thought you were exaggerating regarding the hotel prices....then I checked.  Pass!

Air Bagan fly the same route twice a week. I have used Aung Tha Pyay hotel couple of times and its around 2,000baht and OK.
