I was wondering if anyone knows the number for the electricity department or company? I need to get my meter checked and some other electrical things checked.

This is the PEA in Chiang Mai - http://www.chiangmailocator.com/chiang-mai-miscellaneous-6462:provincial-electricity-authority. But as mentioned, need to be specific as to where you are located even within the same city as larger cities have district offices.

If you provide your location (Amphoe) it should be possible to find a local adr./phone number.

Just a note Electric meter never read fast, that would require changing the gearing inside the meter.

If bill high, it has been hot! Some one may be using your electric. Turn off your main breaker or disconnect.

Go look at the disk inside the meter, if it is turning some one or some thing is using power from your meter.
