August 21, 201411 yr Sad to say that MissFarmGirl hates the smell and taste of Lamb. A beef steak with sautéed mushrooms and I'm in for a week ... But Lamb ... I'll just have to educate the boys myself on that one. . My lady tried it once on my insistence. Verdict: Never again! It smells manure! Kind of 'cultural' thing. Fair enough... I hate many Thai dishes (not all).
August 21, 201411 yr There's herds of goats around us but I've never seen it for sale in the market. My wife say that You can buy a whole dressed goat from the farmer. I image that it's like the local beef, all bones and grizzle and what meat that you get is a tough as shoe leather.
August 21, 201411 yr When I look out of my window I can see a large place called. Pattaya Sheep Farm. I doubt they keep cows overthere. So it has a walking street in the middle for all the Kiwi's ?????

August 29, 201411 yr I expect its something to do with the rainy season . Big problems with the feet . Also shearing could be a problem . Tried training anybody to shear sheep . Its a bloody hard job
September 1, 201411 yr A few years ago I was driving by Global House in Roi-et and grazing along the highway, were about 15 sheep, I never saw them again, but I seldom go to Roi-et these days.
September 1, 201411 yr There is a Thai family near Kantharalak who are building up a nice flock of sheep and goats although goats make up most of his flock. The sheep are the breed that look more like goats and are common in the middle east. He's been known to sell some of his sheep and goats recently but has a very limited number of animals for sale.
September 5, 201411 yr The gf and I bought a rack of NZ lamb ribs from Makro a few months back..... Thought for sure she would hate it, but she absolutely loved it. Wished she didn't despise Mexican food so much.
