I Want A Car

Recommended Posts

I want to buy a car - I have around 1.2 million baht to spend in cash. I want either a HONDA ACCORD , TOYOTA CAMRY, BMW , AUDI, MERCEDES- I will consider other makes too -anyone got any of these to sell at a good price ? As always I want as recent as possible and not too many kms travelled and in decent condition. I live in BKK.

For that money I'd go for a recent 2004/5 model Camry, top spec with the DVD/Navigation system, warranty still valid for another couple of years and no worries on mechanical problems etc. If you can stretch to 2 million then consider only BMW and some basic Mercs for your money.

So...1.2 million to spend....

1) which is better - Toyota Camry 2005 or the Honda 3.0 2005 ???

2) Anyone with an interesting car to sell at a good price ??? I can do a quick purchase if required.

I'd stick with a Camry, power is fine, easier to resell with a smaller engine, and you can't beat Toyota reliability, I do like the 3.0L Accords though!!!!

Thank you Terdsak.....the Toyota Camry has different letters after it presumably indicating the level of extras ( ?) -some are ' E ' , some 'Q'...WHY ? - what extras does the Q have ?

Also from a resell point of view which one is best ? On a used 2005 Camry a 'Q' is priced at around 1.2 mill and the 'E' around a million..

Thanks.

Are the sellers on www.onetwocar.com which are mainly tents honest ? I want I guess a 2005 car ( The Camry or Accord is now the favourite !!

Q is top spec, 4 airbags, DVD and navigation if you're lucky. E is the 2.0L more basic model, but underpowered I'd guess too.

Resale is always best on the top spec model.

Most one2car dealers are reasonable, some have silly ideas what their cars are worth though.

What is a fair price to offer a tent for a 2005 Toyota Camry 2.4( Q) offered at 1.19 million?...and a 2006 model 1.27 million ?...thanks...

Ignore the earlier comment about the Camry in the post....I have been offered a A6 Audi 2005 for 1.2 million....is this to be avoided like the plague as it will not resell later ?...it seems a good price for a recent A6 in silver

1) is the price abt right ?

2) is the AUDI A6 a good car ?

3) servicing costs here ?

4) will it resell in 2 yrs time for a good price ?
