one place to go would be the weekend market. Ive only been a couple of times but saw loads of beads and loads of jewellery stalls.

If you are looking for gem stones look out for a expo as i picked up some at the mall bangkapi last year

There is a jewellery fair twice yearly in Bangkok for the trade--I believe that it is coming up the end of February 2009. It is one of the largest jewellery fairs in Asia--and once can find all types of supplies and finished jewellery at "true" wholesale prices. The fair is at the Impact Fair Grounds, and if you google Bangkok Gems and Jewellery fair, I am sure that you can get the information you need including a list of suppliers, and you may be able to pre-register.

The exhibition hall is quite large with thousands of suppliers, and took me the good part of a day to walk through it.
