Did Something Tragic Happen ?

Early this morning something serious must have happened as there were 6 emergency vehicles under siren, speeding by my place All within a minute or two. I have never heard this in almost 20 years at this location., This was on the river between the Rimping and Rama IX Bridges.

Anybody know what happened ???

Happened at 3am near Lanna hospital.

So; it's not clear what happened ? Looks like something crashed into 7-eleven ?

The Thai says:

At around 3am on the 24th August a pick up crashed at the side of the road in front of 7/11 before Lanna Hospital. One male was injured.

It also links to the Chiang Mai Rescue Facebook page where one of the comments, made at 8am, says the driver died.

More details on CM108, must have been doing some speed from damage caused I gather driver initially stuck in vehicle and some concern over live electricity.
