Will they now declare their assets?

With or without billions in "honest mistakes" and shareholdings by domestic staff? If necessary they could have family members lie about ownership in court, assuming the perjury rules of the last government still apply.

Oh for crying out loud, they have only just been approved---did you have this question ready ??? if then they do---so what ??? look through and see how much they have ??

Actually more to the point would be the question "how many of these cabinet members are currently NLA MPs ?"

Note that NLA MPs will report their assets to the NAAC if I remember correctly.

So 11 Generals, one admiral as Education Minister and an Air force chief as Transport Minister!

Even if it was Jack Sparrow and the entire crew of The Black Pearl, anything would be better than the last bunch of scallywags

............or Captain Pugwash and the crew of the Marie Celeste!!

Do they get two salaries?

A very interesting question that no one seems to be bring up in the news.

Probably because all are used to have generals and admirals as MP and/or PM and Cabinet Minister? Even lower ranking police officers seemed to like to use their former/current rank while being Dept. PM or so.

BTW are all generals and admirals mentioned in actual service or just recalled for the duration plus a few months?

I wonder what are ADM Narong Pipatanasai qualifications that he was appointed Education Minister.

An ability tor recognise that over-priced junk tablets are not much of a learning aid is a good start.

And to recognise that they shouldn't rush into smart classrooms.

Move to axe 'smart classrooms' needs further debate

Social Development and Human Security Minister:

Pol General Adul Saengsingkaew

That seems a quite odd choice, to have the recently ousted Yingluck national police chief take over as Social Development and Human Security Minister??? The job formerly held by Pavena Hongsakul, the noted women's and children's rights activist and Pavena Foundation founder. whistling.gif

At least prayuth didn't nominate himself as Defence Minister, just his old mate and mentor of The Eastern Tigers, retired General Prawit Wongsuwan to keep the troops in check.

Though he did miss a trick, a man with these skills would have been a shoe in as Finance Minister

The Nation October 5, 2012

Former defence minister General Prawit Wongsuwan announced assets worth Bt79.063 million, recording a sharp increase from the Bt9.39 million he declared a year ago.

Better get used to cabinets like this from now on.

Yeah we had better do that--frustrating isn't it.

I would like to know why tho is frustrating and how it will really affect any lives of the majority of TV posters?

I would suspect not one iota at all

Must be nice as PM to be able to choose good people without having to bother about politics.

But surely General Prawit Wongsuwan would be much more qualified, if not as well connected, as his predecessor.
