Irn bru at Villa supermarket

You can now buy irn bru at Villa supermarkets across Bangkok. Are there any other scots out there ecstatic to get hold of the sugary made-from-girders soft drink?

OP ... is it true that you were interviewing folk recently about your product launch?

... and I agree, why pay for advertising when Social Media, such as this, can can promote your product.

Nice bit of marketing ... thumbsup.gif

I have no affiliation to irn bru - I just love the stuff. But I can see why it looks that way with my profile name and this being my first post after years of lurking

Sweet.

If I was the wholesale imported and reseller to Foodland ... I'd be doing some advertising through the social media.

Anyway ... my Scottish mates swear by the stuff, so I look forward to tasting the legendary drop soon.

How would you describe the taste?

Great news.

I bet non Scots have never heard of it like I had never heard of Mountain Dew until recently, another good drink.

Mountain dew?!?! You mean the nectar of the Gods?!?! This is indeed troubling news. Forget ISIS, I think our first priority is airlifting Mountain Dew to Scotland. You poor souls probably haven't even tried the "Code Red" mountain dew.

Who stole my Bru?

Went to Villa Soi 11 last night they had 13 cans of Original Irn Bru in stock.

I got myself a basket took the lot to the counter and paid for them.

Remembered I needed some bread and left the Irn Bru with the staff at the checkout

Only gone a minute or 2 came back Irn Bru had gone.

Someone just picked up 13 cans and walked out the door with them in front of 4 staff and the security lady.

They refunded my cash ok and they called Villa at 33

60 baht motorcycle ride plus 60 baht home I had 25 cans safely in my fridge.

Villa are now out of stock....giggle.gif If you're not fast you're last as we say in Glasgow.

Never mind I only bought 2 Tizer so there's plenty left for you lotsmile.png

Tizer 24 baht a can..... Irn Bru 35 baht a can?...is someone is extracting the urine or is there that much of a difference between the 2 back home?

luckily enough i found villa market in Phuket and also selling irn bru, just need some tennents lager now and a mock chop wink.png

Haven't heard that in a long time. Back in the 50's when we came out of the scouts it would be into the chip shop and that was my favourite, the mock chop. I also liked the scotch pie but not when they had been in the deep fryer.

Iron Bru was all the rage then but a bit too sweet for me now.

Ahh, a scotch pie. Staple diet for me at Glasgow Uni in the early 70's was either a scotch pie or a Forfar bridie with baked beans, washed down with a pint of heavy in the Union. Just lovely. Those were the days!!
