If all else fails:

  1. Reset your browser settings:
    • Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
    • Select Settings.
    • Click Show advanced settings and find the "Reset browser settings” section.
    • Click Reset browser settings.
    • In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

Excellent. Also install the WOT extension and be careful what you click, I'm guessing something replaced your default search engine(s).

Something like the 5555 Thai browser? Got rid of it but it always comes back. Any idea how to permanently delete it?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Never heard of it I'm afraid, but hopefully someone else will have.

Although I always recommend a thorough scan with "Spybot Search & Destroy" (free) and "Adaware Free Edition".

They seem to catch most adware and spyware.

I assume you have an anti-virus package running?
