Smartphone of 5-6,000 baht?

Featured Replies

I'm after a cheap android smartphone in the 5,000 to 6,000 price range that I can pick up in Bangkok.

Ideally I'd get a Moto G but haven't seen any available here.

Its not for gaming or watching videos, but I'd like an SD card slot and a usable camera if possible.

The LG L70 is 6000 baht and looks quite nice and has some OK reviews.

There is also a Samsung at that price which I think is the Grand or Win.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Only one to think about. The Asus Zenfone 5. I can't honestly think of any reason to buy any other phone, I have had the most expensive phones at the time and cheap phones and the Zenfone 5 is far and away the best phone I have ever had. It is fairly cheap ฿5,990, but performs like an expensive phone. Has 2GB RAM 16GB ROM and an SD card slot for up to 64GB, plus two SIM card slots. No need to look any further.

Thanks George, that looks like a great phone so will try and track one down to see how it looks in the flesh.

I have a Lenovo mobile which are very good ( 6,000 baht ) but i think i would have a look at Huawei Phones. Excellent phones made in China with great spec and look nice too! Even Samsung are currently under threat from these " cool phones "

* It should be noted that i do NOT stroll about " gazing at my smartphone 24 hours a day " ( i actually have a life ! ) x

If you can find a Moto G, go for it, it really is a fabulous phone for the price.
