Im looking for a hotel (5star) which cater events or party in new years eve ....

we are living in chiangmai and would like to spend our new years eve...

we want to be a high tower hotel where we can see some fireworks and it would be good if they have rooftop event/restaurant where you can view the city below...

anyone knows?

The Millennium Hilton on the river is very nice and has a restaurant / bar at the top.

If you want to be where the crowds are, you could stay at the 4.5 star Centara Grand Central World which has a nice rooftop bar. The biggest countdown in BKK is at Central World. Too many people for me.

My favorite 'restaurant on top of the hotel' is at The Landmark - RR&B is one of the best steakhouses in Thailand and has great views. Don't know if they stay open late or do anything special for NYE @ RR&B, but you could ask.

When I stayed across the river on New years they were really having a party there and the fireworks are right in front .
