Gaming shop in chiang mai

hi guys,

so im new to this forums and also to chiang mai (lived before 1 year in pattaya then changed work)

anyways a few questiones about chiang mai game shops and the game world of warcraft.

1. where do i have good gaming shops that sale world of warcraft and pre paid time cards near tapae road (i live in tapae road soi 4)

2. if i play the european servers version of wow will i have problem with ping and latency?

Hi there,

I don't know of shops in Chiang Mai that sell game cards

As the the ping rate to European servers that can fluctuate - generally I am green with a rate of just over 200 but occasionally I'll get a continuous period of yellow (normally around 400) or red

do you know of any gaming shops that sale pre paid game cards or the game and can send it to chiang mai?

i dont have credit card in thailand only debit so i cant pay the monthly fee from the website.

also is a wifii connection ok to play wow?

Wifi is is ok for playing unless you're doing high end raiding

I use my European battlenet account so that I can use my home country credit card

The trouble with game cards is that you will need to ensure you get a European game card if you want to play on European servers - American ones won't work

If you have a credit card from a European country you can download world of warcraft from the blizzard site (might take a while) and create an account using your credit card

You can download the starter version and play up until lvl 20 without having to pay anything if you want to trial the ping rate, etc

about the credit card i canceled the one from my country long time ago.

is there no any shops that sale the game and also the pre paid cards?

also how do i tell the difference between european pre paid cards and US ones?

You can do instances and raids at 200ms - you probably don't want to be going heroic raids or trying to raid with top rated guilds

Unfortunately I don't use game cards so I don't know of any shops in Chiang Mai nor do I know how to tell the difference between US and European game cards

Another option would be to use amazon as they sell both the game and cards - maybe family or friends in your home country can order them for you with a delivery address in Chiang Mai

No problems - is your debit card European or Thai? If European you can use it on the battlenet site to pay for a digital download and game time without having to wait for the post service to deliver - if it is Thai I'm not sure if it will work but maybe worth a try

Yea my debit card is thai so that's the dilemma although before i have done some purchases on the internet with the thai debit card so ill have to try if it wont work then it will be the pre paid card games way.
