Notification to Collect International Postal Item

Featured Replies

Got a notification from Thai Post to collect a package. Anyone have directions to the whereabouts of this joint?

I had to collect mine at the Post Office near Wat Phra Sing, not sure if yours will be at same place. Told tuk tuk driver where I wanted to go, he took me there so can't tell you exactly how to get there.

Your advice note should advise which post office AND how much duty or tax to pay.

Take some proof of ID with you.

I've found the condo management staff to be very helpful in that situation.

as previous poster wat phra sing post office is were you go to collect take your passport or driving licence, and a few bht,i paid 900 baht duty last time for just a 2000 bht purchase, first time in many years though, they say duty must be paid on anything of value over 1000bht

Think its more about luck than anything,my daughter sent me an Asus mini PC

i bought off Ebay UK, she put declared value of 80 pounds sterling, and it arrived

ok without request or taxes, duty.

You will have to go to your nearest P.O. to pay and collect, that will be the one your

postman/woman does deliveries from.
