Taxi sword murder?

Featured Replies

What ever happen to the cab driver that hacked the American to death? Did he have a trial? Is he in Prison? I can not find any follow up info on the case.

Jailed.

Do you have any info, sources, links?

No. Why would I keep them? Search for yourself if you don't believe me.

I did. Found nothing to indicate he'd ever been tried/sentenced for the crime. Arrested, yes. Tried and/or sentenced, no.

All I can find is that the driver, Chidchai Utmacha, was arrested but there doesn't seem to be any follow up on sentencing since then- the Nation and that newspaper we can't mention don't even bring up any hits for the name of the driver or the victim. That's not to say it didn't happen- for news sites and papers the punishment is less interesting than the crime.... but does seem odd that there's zero reports on it at all.

Yes only his arrest was ever mentioned. I have not been able to find anything on a trial or sentence. Possibly catepilar people may have been following in person.
