Buying academic books in English

Featured Replies

I have to read 'Aesthetics, A Comprehensive Anthology' by S. Cahn and A. Meskin and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a bookshop in Bangkok that might stock it. I could order it from Amazon but I'm going upcountry for a month in 3 days so I'd prefer to buy in a bookshop. Thanking anyone for any suggestions.

One of the wonderful things about living in the west is the multitude of free libraries - there are 55 in Auckland! Whenever I read a book review and ask for it, they sometimes order it in....the joys of opening a fresh unopened book...aaah!

And for the more technical/academic books, one can use the various university libraries though cannot take them out.

However, some of us pay a lot for the privilege which is extended to all whether any contribution or not.

This is not a criticism of Thailand/Bangkok as, unlike the Auckland Council and central government, Thailand doesn't steal up to sometimes 66% of $1 earned, which I've paid at times on an averageish salary!

oooops, meant to wish you well for getting that text!
