VIP bus samui to Phuket

Featured Replies

What is available ?

Would want a big bus with big comfy seats and a toilet on board ... Reasonably good safety record if at all possible! Mini van not am option and will ride scooter if not ...

Cheers

Transport company ("999") or Sombat.

Both have offices between PTP station ring-road Chaweng and Laemdin traffic-lights..

This is what locals use, be prepared to be only westerner on the bus and have basic knowledge of Thai language.

Lomprayah that leaves from Nathon do the VIP bus from Donsak pier. For me though I would just take the scooter. The roads are good and as long as you are in no great rush to get there it is a nice ride even on a scooter. You can stop when you want and when you get there you have transport as well. As said just take your time and you will enjoy it biggrin.png

Yeah I have ridden before and probably will, but want a back up in case it's pouring with rain (next week) ... I have transport there too so not an issue

Then go for the Lomprayah that goes from nathon. It is in the morning but not sure what time it leaves. They use the double decker buses with the toilets. I always jump in and go for one of the lower deck seats. Enjoy thumbsup.gif

Agree with PiPiff ..... Only problem with a scooter right now is the chance of rain.... it sort of dampens the nice scenic ride.... but at times of year when weather is good it's great! thumbsup.gif

although I have not actually driven into Phuket. bah.gifbiggrin.png

(Other problem though, if renting you generally cannot take a rented bike off the island)
