Lamotrigine available generic?

Featured Replies

I read the posts on the forum but they all seem several years old. Is lamotrigine now available as a generic in Thailand? I understand I may need to see a doctor, that's fine, it will cost me less than the $200 I would be charged to do it before I leave the US (I've lost my health insurance). However if I would have to pay for name brand Lamictal in Thailand (as implied in older posts) then it would be worth it.... Thanks

thanks for the info on availability. Do you happen to know (or know how I could find out) if it would cost over 1,000Bt per month? Meaning for 30 tabs of 200mg which is the standard dosing. Thanks for your help, appreciate it.

No, I do not know, having never had occasion to buy it.

Try a search of this forum for "lamictal" and "lamotrigine: to see if you can find a poster who takes it and send them a PM.

You could also try contacting the distributor to find out the wholesale price (retail price will be abut higher of course):

Or if you know what it costs in the US - will be a little less here (but not a lot less). Most of the imports here are from Europe
