Gen Patchara: Some of the stolen bikes were in good condition.

PHUKET: -- Police arrested three teens yesterday (Oct 26) suspected of stealing motorbikes, stripping them down and then advertising the parts for sale on Facebook.

Police arrested the trio, Jirayu Jansuwan, 18, and two 17-year-old boys after reviewing CCTV footage of them wheeling away motorcycles parked in Phuket Town, following several reports of bike theft from the area on Thepkasatree Rd.

“Some of the bikes found at the suspect’s place were in good condition and others had been stripped down for parts,” said Phuket Police Commander Maj Gen Patchara Boonprasit.

Jirayu reportedly confessed to the crimes, telling police he would look for unsecured motorcycles, which he would push to his place before stripping them into parts to sell on Facebook.

With so much corruption theft and lies going around, you cant really blame teens.

Perhaps the "role models" that the Thai youth are exposed to need to be held responsible as well...

Thieves are resposible for what they do. Don' go blaming society.

Did JJ have a "plan B"? looks like not, shades of the "Dimsdale Boys" thanks Monty Python.

Thieves are resposible for what they do. Don' go blaming society.

I agree... but its society that influences their actions and are part to blame...

Change one and you alter the other... make sense?

You haven't factored in "the greed factor."

For some, enough, is never enough, and this is very prevalent on Phuket.
