Home for a lost bird Please help

Featured Replies

Hi, fore days ago a cockatiel landed on my balcony and then flew on to my shoulder, I think its a girl she is yellow with bright orange cheeks, Picture attached, The problem I have apart from not knowing anything about birds (I Google it to find out what kind of bird it was) is I have two Jack Russels who are camped outside my spare room going mental, This wee bird is extremely tame and friendly but I can't keep her, I am looking for a home for her she don't like to be in the cage all the time only for feeding and at night we put her in

and cover the cage She likes to fly around the room and land on your head or shoulder , if you go in the room she will sit on you all the time, we take turns at being in the room i sit reading or my wife sits doing her Facebook, If anyone knows someone who has lost a Cockatiel, or if someone has a secure house she can fly around in a room and they know about these birds (lots of info I got off Google) they like to be around people she is so friendly, if it wasn't for my wee Jack's who are very jealous and want to kill her I would keep her, Can anyone help me or do you know a bird man or woman,

I thought it was another kind of "bird", in which case I'd be more than happy to take her in.

But this type of bird, I have no experience nor interest in. Sorry.

Where is Paradise Park Farm is it on Samui or Suratthani area

It's on Samui, south of Nathon .... (or north of Hau Thanon, depending on which way you are traveling !!! )

Watch out for the new Chevrolet Dealer and turn inland, go up the hill a few kilometers ... you'll go pass the army barracks .... just keep going.... until you see the entrance to Paradise Farm.... on the left if I remember! wink.png

be careful you might end up with two birds chattering at you! tongue.pngwhistling.gif

I have only driven to the gate, I too avoid the "tourist traps", especially if I have to pay! .... but nice scenery up that way though, but perhaps not when raining! wink.png

Maybe try the Jungle Club, I'm sure I've seen a tame bird of similar style flying around and landing on people up there.

I think she is one of mine!!! I had 3 breeding pairs (and another 5), and found 3 missing a couple of weeks ago... I hadn't noticed that part of the cage wire had rusted, and - Cockatiels being clever and curious - they had created a hole. Thing is that 3 eggs had already been laid, so I was sure she would return... but she didn't. Her mate shouts for her every day... loudly lol. I have had cockatiels for years... and most of them have been hand reared by me... if you whistle the Charlie Chaplin walk tune... doo dee doo, doo dee doo, diddly doo, diddly doo) she will react if she is one of mine lol... she will react to any high pitched whistle. Even if she isn't mine, and you are looking for a home for her with 'friends', I would love to have her.... PM me please... attached pic is one of the babies post-199076-0-02164700-1415369827_thumb.I have reared...

Where on the Island you located? I'm in Lamai and will take her if haven't found home yet. I raised them or years.
