Non-B Visa and Work Permit need extending

Featured Replies

I am currently working in Thailand.

My Non-B Visa expires in 3 weeks, and my Work Permit expires at the end of January. My Non-B Visa was only valid for 3 months.

How long can my Non-B Visa be extended for by my company? Another 3 months? One year? Or until the end of January?

Also, is there still time to extend my Non-B visa - how long does it normally take?

Thanks!

With proper documents form the company you can get a one year extension of stay (visas are not extended).

The actual extension application only takes a few minutes but you may first be given a under consideration stamp while your application is being approved. You are allowed to stay and work during the under consideration period.

OK, so the standard period is 1 year extension of stay - it can't be, say, 3 months or 6 months? I would be quite happy with 1 year, of course, but my company might prefer a different time period.

Thanks ubonjoe.

There is no different time period. Unless you're a teacher you must earn Bt 50,000 a month.

Give a look to the paperwork needed.
