What new prostate procedures are available in Thailand?

Featured Replies

I have tried both Xatral and Harnal to try and relax my prostate for easier urination at night, but neither seem to have any effect. I have read about a new treatment called Green Light http://americanmedicalsystems.com/en/patients/men/enlarged-prostate/treatment/greenlight-laser-therapy.html that involves laser reduction of the prostate with very good results. Does anyone know about, or been treated, with any of these new procedures in Thailand? I think I might have to bite the bullet before it gets to the point where I can't pee at all.

Don't know anything about that but I did meet someone in the urology dept of Pramonklutklau Hospital on one of my visits who told be he had been treated (operated on) with a new prostate procedure by Dr Bandit the head of the urology dept which he said had been very successful.

This was over a year ago and his surgery would have been some time before that as he was there for a check up so what was done with him may not be that new now.

The technique is available in Thailand though it is not suitable for all patients.

I suggest you consult Dr. Viroj Chodchoy at Bumrungrad

Should have mentioned I'm in Pattaya.
