Tim "Sharky" Ward confronts Pattaya Police over allegations of theft

sharky-2.jpg

PATTAYA: -- Tim “Sharky” Ward, an Australian resident of Pattaya, known to many for his controversial comments relating to Thailand’s Police, was involved in an angry confrontation with Police and local journalists at Pattaya Police Station in the early hours of Monday.

Mr. Ward claims that 1 Million Baht in cash and 1 Kilo of Gold was stolen from his apartment during a “fake” drugs raid on 28th September. Mr. Ward claims the drugs were planted and the gold and money was stolen by Police. Since the raid, Mr. Ward has attended Pattaya Police Station on numerous occasions looking for answers and his property back.

On Monday Morning he was back at Pattaya Police Station and was accompanied by two foreign men who were filming the encounter. Police made little attempt to control Mr. Ward, and we were told by one officer, who does not wish to be named, that they feel intimidated by Mr. Ward due to his size and reports that he carries a knife. Police normally refrain from engaging with Mr. Ward who normally leaves the Station without incident.

On Monday Morning, one local Journalist, Khun Chocktawee aged 46, claims he was assaulted by Mr. Ward, which left him with no visible injuries but a broken strap on his shoulder bag, and a Police Report was completed. We understand that Police will invite Mr. Ward to attend the station to discuss the incident with them and the Journalist.

I would not bring that kind of money into Thailand ever. Not when I can keep an ATM card and credit cards and have access to whatever cash I need, which is kept safely in a US Bank until such time it

ATM machine = Sharky.

Every time the police need to refill their coffers, they only need to charge him with any offense they wish.

No need to deport or harass Sharky for fear he will leave Thailand. The police love him! Once he cannot pay them, then we might read a headline of a different sort....

Personally, I treat everyone with the same respect despite their appearance.

But seems most of you back up the Pattaya police here because of Sharky's appearance.

Based my opinion just now on the links that fritz posted above.

Society does not need the type of loan shark that Sharky has chosen for a livelihood.

Yup, it has nothing to do with his self-confessed criminality on his own website; it's just pure discrimination against this tiny flower of a man who simply wouldn't hurt a fly despite offering $10,000 to the person who can punch him out...

But lets be real guns beat brawn everytime and the Thai Police have a lot of guns, But he seems to know what hes doing having two wittnesses who film what is going on. Still that wont save his life if he pisses off the wrong Thais their country their rules.

Quite the contrary, I would love to be the prosecutor in the event the police eventually shoot this guy.

That photo shows a man who is out-of-control with anger and hostility towards the police and who has the physical size to place any reasonable person in fear for their life.

It would be very believable if an officer one day claimed Sharky approached him to do him harm and refused to obey the command to stop so said officer had no choice but to shoot him.

Doubt he'll ever see his money or gold back..

Had Sharky kept his money in a US Bank then it would not be in the possession of the RTP today.

The defense rests.

Nothing to do with "appearance", not when there are numerous self-authored vidoes and blogs online that he's posted that give a VERY clear idea of who and what he is.

He does love his "bitches" tho . . . I'll give him that . . .

Mr. Ward claims that 1 Million Baht in cash and 1 Kilo of Gold was stolen from his apartment during a “fake” drugs raid on 28th September.

Mr Ward seems to have a lot of unexplained wealth sitting around in his apartment, 1Mil Baht is kind of explainable, but 1Kilgrame of gold! That is another 1.2 mil Baht. Why does one need that much sitting at home?

A million Baht in cash and a kilo of gold lying around his house?

Hiding from the tax man?

Can't believe this loose canon has not been kicked out of the country. He is a nut case !!!!!

It sure is good that Sharky is a New Zealander.

The "kept safely in a US bank" was hilarious.

Post liked.

If i had a 100 ugly, deformed daughters desperately looking to marry, I wouldn't even let this mug

near the ugliest of the bunch... but I'm sure his mother thinks he's a gem of a person....

Pattaya's own Rosa Parks, an awesome man. The balless fecks in this thread should feel shame at how pathetic they are.

With an appearnace, attitude and name like that, a person is walking on very thin ice when claiming to be a good guy. People like that Thailand don't need - send him home!

Whatever happened, I am sure it's a case of what goes around, comes around. No sympathy for Sparkie from my side! 1zgarz5.gif

By all accounts that's a good guy, as far as pimps go.
Kind of suspicious that they would find drugs in the home of the biggest straight edge in Thailand.

But one never knows.

If they did find drugs, though, why isn't he in jail?
All things being equal, I'm choosing to believe Shark until proven otherwise.

Like Kenny Rodgers says

'you gotta know when to hold em'

However right the claim might be, this dog will not hunt.
