Secondhand Water Tank

Featured Replies

Need a temporary water tank on stand...imagine there must be a place in Chiang Mai to buy a secondhand one...any body know where please.

Do you have any idea about the size you want?

What kind of irrigation system do you have?

When do you plan to put the well in?

Next question "what colour are your eyes", 4 questions but no offer of help him

find a 2nd hand water tank.

Nigel, you may have to buy a new one,as will not be easy finding used,as it

looks like there will be a drought this dry season, you should be able to sell

it quiet easy after you have used it until you have your irrigation system

ready, the ground is drying out ,so advise you do something quickly to

save your trees.

Hello Worgeordie. ..yes so many questions...and not relevant to my question...Thanks for your reply ...will buy new one ...and dig in some organic matter to get them going...quite sad that past only was cheated paying to have them pruned and contractor reduced them by 75% taking the wood to make charcoal....Thanks again

Hi a suggestion that maybe might help you, is to make a small pond if you have room save the earth you dig out and use it to fill it in later, line it with polythene, it only needs to be 5-6m3 that would give you around 5000 litres.

best of luck with your endevours..

The OP has not stated what size he needs or wants.

The questions are relevant to determining what size could be appropriate.

Your suggestion that he needs to water them soon to save the trees is based on what? Do you know the nature of the land and the level of the water table where they are planted?

What help did you give him to fine a second hand water tank? None.

Are you sure you need to water them ?

Mature trees should have their roots down pretty deep.

Or are you trying to get a second crop from them ?

Had those trees for more than 20 years. For at least the past 10 years have not irrigated once and still get fruit. Would get more if irrigated around June, Depending on the rainfall.

Unlikely OP needs to water, should talk to nearby growers.

Thanks for all the advice...no not trying to get a second crop...just need water for Longan and green manuring. Will use a petrol water pump from the lake.

In case anyone clicked on this topic thinking it would be about a typical home-use tank instead of a post on agricultural operations, I have one that I'd like to replace.

Nothing wrong with it, other than being too big, too blue and too ugly.

I die a little inside every time I walk past it.

Wow that is bright...interested in it though...how many litres and how much do you want for it..

6 billion liters. ;) Seems like it anyway.

Anyway, want about half of whatever it is those things go for (don't know). I'll go find out. (both size and price)

As far as a stand goes they when full they are mighty heavy. You also need a flat place for them without and stones etc.

Hello Winnie

Bit the bullet and bought a new 1000 liter for 3650....but would still like another once you have price.
