Drunk honeymooner's death threats ground plane in Bermuda

A drunk honeymooner caused a flight to Cuba to be grounded in Bermuda when he threatened to kill everyone on board.

Mohammed Khelya, from Blackburn, was taken off the flight from Manchester on Monday after becoming aggressive while drinking a bottle of duty-free vodka.

The 22-year-old told crew he would "kill everyone" after he was refused permission to see his new wife, who moved seats to get away from him.

He admitted two offences in Bermuda on Tuesday. His wife continued on to Cuba.

The court heard that while being moved, he spat on some of the other 310 passengers, leading crew to cover him with a blanket.

The ultimate humiliation.

Though, had he spat on me, he would have required assistance standing unaided in a Bermudan court.

He would blow everyone he wanted to say.

His wife continued on to Cuba should read his ex-wife.

This 'news headline' is up there with other events such as 'man gets thrown out of pub for being too drunk'...it's irrelevant.

Reminds me of one of the guys off the movie...'The Four Lions' - Brilliant, funny, sad! Download and watch !

Should have just opened the door at 35,000 feet and let the idiot out.

Loos like that marriage has gotten off to a good start.

Don't trivialise what could have been a VERY serious situation for those on the aircraft. Just be thankful you were not a part of it coffee1.gif

with a name like Mohammed, is it not "illegal" to consume alcohol

or is religion something they use when it suits them?

Yes.

However, many Saudis go to Bahrain to consume alcohol- I sat next to an intoxicated Saudi on a flight to Riyadh. Also, I went on a tour in Saudi once that had an intoxicated Saudi tour guide.

Heard lots of stories about the royals that hold parties in the desert with copious alcoholic refreshment for the "young ladies" that are invited.

I agree, great movie. And to think it was out before the Boston Marathon bombings.

Easier said than done.

Next time you fly at 35,000 feet, try opening the door. ;)

Mohammed Khelya, from Blackburn ...

*sigh*

Indeed, and there's now millions of them!!!

I sometimes wonder if this is how Thais feel about us...

My trousers fell down whilst walking through Bermuda airport once.

All the way down.

Belt failure.

Whole airport fell about laughing.

It would have been mildly embarrassing but I was beyond caring. Bit like at the moment to be honest.

Please no Muslim bashing in this thread.

I'm just going to remove them all. Don't take it personally.
