Best/Great Rock Songs - Nobody Remembers....

Featured Replies

Where's Stephen Hawking when you need him? Apparently he maybe coming to Thailand,.. good,.... I need to go back in time,

I missed Terry Reid first time around, knew the name and that he could have been in Led Zep, but I never knew his music. What a talent.

That song is barred in the car, heading down or up the highway, its always the same, before I know it the car is doing 160 kph.

Always had a soft spot for this,

Woke last night to the sound of thunder.

Bob Seger,

Always loved the bridge for this, excellent jamming.

Talking about bridges, check this out.

From the Sacred Fire Dvd, at a time you couldnt give Sanata away for free, check out the crowd.

Great stuff,

BN, you know your rock history, wasnt it RB who said EC couldnt play guitar (LOL)?

anybody remember Dave Mason? I always liked his music and he had some excellent backing musicians...

TW, you need to change from Jeddah Gin to Sid(diqi).

Yeah great stuff, posted this over on another thread.

Got a bootleg somewhere where instead of the sax solo it has a SW solo.

rgs...I go to saudi to work and clean up and stay away from the booze...if I didn't I'd probably be dead by now...

nobody has forgotten 'Can't find my way home' it is a true classic...I even heard it on an elevator (lift) muzak once...

Steve Winwood is a musical R&B genius and that Blind Faith number serves to illustrate the range of his talent...when first heard 'Gimme some lovin' in 1966 I couldn't believe that it was a teenaged white boy at the hammond organ...

Great song but never associated it with Lou Gramm, are you sure about that ?

Got some great stuff here!!!!!!

555, little did I realize all those years ago that this album cover would come alive as it were, on our farm Jingjoks, lizards, between the electrical sockets and walls, getting behind neon lights, geckos announcing the time in their own inimitable way.. and what a great song from Ian Hunter.

I always enjoyed the art of M.C. Esher - his art is on the cover of that great album.

And Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople were solid as well.

yeah...I went to an Escher exhibit in SF once in the 70s...etchings mostly...never seen his stuff before used as album cover art...

but in dem days I was mostly into de blues...here's one of my favorites

Some Dean Friedman who was bigger in the UK then he was in USA , he still tours there every year and has even chatted with me about playing here in Thailand !

yeah...I saw Moby Grape at a venue in Hollywood, musta been about 1970 and the place looked like a disused cinema...there was a haze of weed and they were jamming (there were no orchestras), we came in late in their set...it was memorable...

a good post as it evoked the memory...

My Personal Favorite , as a NY Lover of Delis & having made my own Pastrami & Corned Beef.It also contains the Great line "I'm either in Love or its something I ate , cause I never felt this way before"

and then there was ol' David Bromberg who I saw at the Fox Venice (an operating 'revival' movie house) in the late 70s...he set the place afire...

Venice, Los Angeles that is...never been to the other place...
