5 Day Holiday - Heads up

Featured Replies

From Wednesday December 31 through Sunday Jan 4 will be a public holiday including Banks (major branches). I'm trying to verify if Friday (Jan 2), which has been announced as an extra public holiday, extends to immigration. My guess it does but need to get it verified. Any members that have been there recently, have you seen any signs up announcing this. I know the university is closed for that 5 day period.

The uncertainty part is I checked the online queue to see if it is listed as a holiday but it shows reservations for Friday. Will be some unhappy people if those are no longer valid.

Announcement from October - http://www.qppstudio.net/public-holidays-news/2014/thailand_007833.htm

If the company I work for is closed then Immigration (and everything else government related) is *definitely* closed. ;)

So yes, that's a nice long holiday December 31st -> January 4.

As long as the beer shops are open I will be fine...

If you recall, they did this on the Monday before The Queens birthday after people had also booked online slots.

I think back then it was a case of "too bad" so probably will be now also.
