Strobist, Cheap Camera Challenge - DigitalRev TV

Featuring David "The Strobist" Hobby in our season finale, taking on the cheap camera challenge with a Buzz Lightyear camera (a kid's camera) and 3 Family Jewels Fuq 690 flashes. Then we give David 5 challenges, 5 locations, 5 subjects, and he has to shoot them all with just this cheap setup and his resourcefulness.

----

Interesting to see how a seasoned pro just pulls it together to get the shots when under pressure.

these 5 subjects are extremely interesting, and would be a real challenge even you have pro equipment with you !

don't stay home, there are unlimited subjects just meters away from us !

Cactus and Yongnuo do fantastic radio flash systems now, pretty cheap.

I have a few Cactus RF60's and V6 trigger.

this guy really knows how to use flash in his setup. in the snake shop, the noodle shop, the stamp studio and the supercar, he actually demonstrated the ABC of flash photography. worth to replay the video and see how he did in every setting.

well, the same principle of setting up studio flash, but with a Cactus and a lady flash stand !

If you have small hoot through umbrellas or Gary Fong Lightsphere's, using human lightstands holding radio flashes is a really neat trick.
