Great song Xen, but never heard of Walter Brennan, The best version I would think would be by Bill Anderson, an American country singer, I think he may have written it, though I'm not sure.

Not necessarily the best version ( but close to it if it isn't) but i choose his version just to remember what a soulful artist he was. RIP Joe.

Walter Brennan was more of an actor (well he doesn't really sing) but was in a lot of westerns around the John Wayne era. He had hits with Old Shep , Old Rivers and life gets tejus .
