Farang protests against 'Thai girls trying to be farang' at Central Ladprao

While I kind of agree with the theme of what he's saying, I think he's going about it in a way that very likely would be deeply insulting to his target audience, and making a fool of himself.

Thinking back over the years, I've seen some truly stunning looking girls when in their natural state, only to silicone/tattoo/pierce/"covet the materialistic" their way into something quite undesirable (and I'm only talking about looks here, far from getting into learning what kind of person is behind the mask). I do get on my high horse about this sometimes, but in a way to try to convince them that they're beautiful already, and to consider the consequences, but my opinion is usually disregarded as fake (weird joke in there somewhere). The last girl I was with said 'she wanted my nose', and wanted silicone to build hers out. I did all I could to dissuade her (and I certainly wouldn't foot the bill for such an action), needless to say that relationship wasn't long lived. The body changes over time, but silicone doesn't, and tattoos distort - no backing out of either if you change your mind a decade down the road. Take a look at some of the older Hollywood stars.

I think if they went to the gym and ate well, they could be the best version of themselves. I say this as a middle aged bald farang with a little bit of a beer belly. I used to do what I'm proposing here, until I got to Thailand and realised that ATM is the trump card and that my appearance was a smaller percentage of importance to them (to my detriment and becoming lazy with it). My main selling point is being good heart/Jai dee, with a working ATM that has to be earned (you help me in whatever capacity you can, and I'll be helping you with your more sensible financial desires, but please don't sell yourself to me as a plastic blow up doll).

If I were looking for prize eye candy on my arm over everything else, I'd be changing relationships frequently. If they are looking for security for themselves and their family and a partner that is true but not a lottery ticket (even though I have reasonable financial resources, but that's my business to manage, not theirs), then I'd look deeper. When I see girls with a complex like this, I just think of "high maintenance". If I were back in UK where I come from then I'd say I'm looking for a "jeans and jumper" girl who is not afraid of breaking a nail. It's usually a bit warm here for that, so now it would be a "t-shirt and flip flops" girl, who might like to dress up occasionally for a special night out, but is also comfortable in her own skin to be able to shower and dress to leave the house as quickly as I would, without an hours worth of makeup.

I think I just turned that into a rant rather than staying on topic, so will stop now.

I get that you mean well. But the overall tenor of your post makes my skin crawl. Shiver.

Certain farang traits would be good to adopt, no? Don't let your man kick seven shades out of you, don't sell your body for the latest telephone or to shut mama up, try critical thinking, don't let limitations be put on you because of your sex, don't let schools educate you from a kid to slap on make up, dance around and be an object for men to leer at.

All stuff I will teach my daughter, hair, make up noses (which she has anyhow) I couldn't give a rats ar$e about!!

I was captivated and cheering at the first paragraph of your post, and then it seems you had a few more shots before composing the last line.

It's good to hear your daughter has hair, make up and noses. With noses she might be a true candidate for surgery. But seriously, that was a great start!

Yeah prolly should have stipulated for the tards on here that she has a nice bridge to her nose from being half white devil.

Is that your daughter in your profile picture? Very cute! (and can't even notice the multiple noses wink.png ).

1/2 farang and 1/2 Thai is the ideal look of what many Thai women think is beautiful and would guess is also what most men, both Thai and farang, would probably agree. In fact it seems mixed race people are often very attractive be it white/asian, black/white or asian/black.... Maybe natures way of creating a single human race to help ensure our survival.

By saying Thai women are playing up to a 'want to be white' stereotype, you sir are playing up to the 'lots of creepy middle aged men come to Thailand to find a woman because they can't in their own country' stereotype.

Stereotype, Stereotype, oh this word is the bane of humanity.

"since women are told how they should and should not look every day by the media and so-called role models."

Never in my life have I heard it said in the media or by "role models"....if you are a lady you must look like this, or me, or this way or that way. Women it seems choose to copy cat what they see on Television not the other way around.

that is the problem with conservatives, they cannot accept things just change and evolve, they feel terrified by a world that changes fast as never before.

I'm terrified by changes that make things worse and these changes are rampant, conservative or not. Do you naively believe that all changes are for the better? Brings to mind: "Hope and (unspecified) Change".

You're a 'half glass empty' kinda guy, aintcha, Max laugh.png

And you're a glass half full (of it) kinda guy?

i'm not sure women ever had power in thailand...

If she. Bought the house in her name, she has power over the hubby.

I bought my house in my wifes name, but she has no power over me, but I have no power over her either, maybe that's why we have lasted nearly ten years together.

This is what happens when you move to Thailand, and have nothing to do with your life.

Probably posts here.

Probably was running for Poster of the Year.

I really don't think it's JT or David.

Too old for David and JT wouldn't care.

It was me.

It definitely wasn't me, I'm tall, slim, have a full head of hair, and also handsome.

Possums are ugly and smelly.biggrin.png

No they're not, they are beautiful little creatures, and they are not smelly, your getting them mixed up with skunks.

I think this dude just run out of his medication, time to get new stock from your local pharmacy.

Let thai woman do what they want with her body it's not his concern.

Have you never heard of the "Free the Titty" campaign so fashionably popular now with farang women? If Thai girls want to follow suit - by all means let them!

Pity my 'Free the sack' campaign didn't go down as well with the local constabulary.

I certainly agree with him. I could have stayed in America if I wanted to see blondes with thin noses and big breasts. I just wish the photographer had done a better job of focusing so my wife could read the sign.

Well I am not conservative but I agree with him, these Thai woman look stupid with blond, red, yellow hair. Nose jobs, eh, some could use a nose job but the ones you see on TV look stupid. And the whitening is just downright racist.

Change would be to shave their legs, wear clothes that don't look silly, use mosquito repellent so their legs are not all bite marked, stop wearing false eyelashes, stop wearing too much make-up, and stop believing that hair down to your butt is attractive. But then again, I like women with small breasts, thin legs, narrow hips, small butts, neck length hair, and little make-up, so I'm just atypical.

Looks like he's taken a page from the book of British eccentric Stanley Green, also known as Protein Man, who from 1968 until 1993 could be seen daily in Oxford Street in London with his placard exhorting people to "Less Lust, By Less Protein: Meat Fish Bird; Egg Cheese; Peas Beans; Nuts. And Sitting".

Congratulations muff master please tell us more about your mission and whether the public are welcome to join your march I think you might be the biggest coup maker in history of coups

Please sir bring us a Thai Muff Revolution!!! When and where is the next muff march? Is there a shirt color for supporters of pure oriental muff?

What are the rules?

1) No silicone garbage

2) No witch nose jobs

3) Any color skin but unbleached skin which does not smell so good

4) wear bra to prevent early sag

5) No hair bleaching and dying as it destroys hair and the smell is not as sexually arousing as natural hair

6) No excess of Junk Foods that make skin spotty and sloppy fat

7) No shaving that creates stubble after

8) Follows tradition of lots of showers and private area showers to keep fresh and aromatic at all time

9) Cotton undies none of this artificial ruin the merchandise stuff

10) Kama Sutra studies and body spas

11) Firm and solid

12) Passes the peepee test (can buy in some farmacies now)
