The truck and its load lie across the road.

PHUKET: Traffic was badly jammed on Srisoonthorn Rd yesterday (January 3) when a six-wheel truck full of soil flipped after a rear tyre blew out.

The driver, Ma-Een Famangkorn, 49, told Thalang police that he was driving the truck, belonging to Phuket 89 Service co, with a full load of soil heading to a construction site in the Cherngtalay area.
As he went round a bend he heard a load bang from the back of the truck, which started to swing from side to side. Because of the weight of the earth, he was unable to control the vehicle, which craashed onto its side, spilling its load across half the road.

Mr Ma-Een received a bang on the head but was otherwise none the worse for wear. No one else was involved and Phuket 89 was called to clear up the mess as fast as possible.

I was a bit shocked recently at the number of vehicles on these Phuket roads.
Yes, it's high season and it can get crazy out there.
With the width of some of the roads, the sharp turns, steep hills, and lack of traffic rule enforcement, motorbikes, passing you on both sides, (sometimes without lights at night!) it is quite amazing really that there isn't more accidents than there already is.
Of course, maybe there are, and it's just that the media only reports certain ones.
