Miss Thailand World Contest in Pattaya

A meeting was held at Pattaya City Hall on Tuesday chaired by Deputy Mayor Khun Weera-wat to inform the local print and television media about the up-coming Miss Thailand World contest that will be held at the Thai Alangkarn Theater between the 29th of August and the 4th of September.

The Deputy Mayor told the assembled media hacks that the contest would provide yet another great opportunity for Pattaya to put itself in the position of promoting tourism to the city. Just how a Thai-only contest would help promote Pattaya in the eyes of the world wasn’t quite explained, but it sounded pretty good.
