Hi All,

Well I've gone and done it again. Fallen out of a 3-foot high bed in lovely Kampot. Bad dream. Hematoma was large, firm and now two weeks later much smaller with lots of dark red, black, green and yellow swaths across the right buttock and down the leg. This is an improvement, I think. Can be painful, depending on the sitting surface. Rubbing on Reparil Gel N twice a day. Two new items: pain in the right calf and sore, tight lower back muscles, both sides, which makes standing up difficult. I'm pretty creaky, actually.

My gastroenterologist told me to find an orthopedist with spine sub speciality. I'm in Bangkok for another day right now, then it's back to Pattaya. Any recommendations?

Cheers.

I saw Dr. Wicharn and he impressed me. I wasn't given an xray or ultrasound. He said he could tell by the way I walked that they weren't needed. He gave my Perskindol, a spray to cool down my back muscles, Lyrica (perhaps anti-diabetic neuropathy (sp) reasons) and Methycobal B12 and said to cancel the month-later followup appointment if I was better.

Since I am much better with only some blotching/bruising on my rear I did cancel.

What should I do about the Lyrica, which is about run out? Googling it gives some scarey info; should I buy more?

About the Methycobal: I love it and think it has helped my digestion, of all things. For some reason the gut got better just days after I started the B12. The next time I'm in Bangkok I will get the Eisai brand injectable Methy B12 which is supposed to be better than the cyancobalamin I've been using for years.

Cheers

No the Lyrica was for the back pain. If he gave you a month supply and said no need to return if you feel better then can stop the Lyrica.
