Pattaya teens return wallet with cash, win public praise
It should be regarded as normal regular behaviour to hand in found wallets , shouldn't be regarded as extraordinary to return lost property. I expect the Police were celebrating because that's their bar bill paid for for tonight -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
While I hate statist government you are wrong on this one. Actually the government workers are worse off because their pension is taxed in their home country which usually has higher taxes then in for example TH. The main concern was to keep as much tax in the home country. Example Germany: Pension in TH would be tax tax free but as GER reserves the right to tax the pensioner pays the very high German tax. Ergo Pensioner are worse off but the (home) state is better off. -

BREAKING NEWS British lawyer latest to fall in Laos alcohol poisoning tragedy
My point: Its impossible to know... I've been to plenty of bars in Bangkok, regular Bars (i.e. Sports bars) and found that the Whisky is not genuine... I've complained about this in the past: (even in another thread - below). https://aseannow.com/topic/942918-fake-liquor/ I think the statement that you only ever drink in bars where you know the spirits are genuine is a bit of a stretch.... actually, I think its a ridiculous claim.... Agree - so very tragic... Even without you accusing the deceased of not exercising common sense. Its kind of like suggesting people who are in a Bus accident in Thailand of not exercising common sense because the bus they were on crashed... ... These deaths are not their fault... -

UK Pensioners in Thailand Face New Scrutiny Over Pension Fraud
They never went to court, just got 1000 quid fine and repay the over payment figure. One didn't get the fine because he had a brain something-or-other and his UK sister did his paperwork, but he had to pay back the over payments, his pension payment went back to the figure he would have got when he moved to LOS. They did their homework and told him when that was.... PS. As izod10 says there is noooooo ploblem, why did these guys get fined 1000 quid..? This indeed absolutely clears this up then to the extent that £1000 quid fines were dished out,(but weren't dished out) Not being mistaken ..its on record. The brain damaged unfrozen pensioner.....a decorator I believe fell off a step ladder...so you quite rightly state...banged his head ,leading to unfrozen being now becoming frozen pensioner. His sister being banged up for 5 years for aiding and abetting,(released day after on appeal) The only good outcome here is the unfortunate pensioner walked across a dancefloor up there in Issan and was awarded a gold medal at his dancing technique shortly after Yes its on record the DWP did sanction the stepladder Complete fabrication, and as you actually are izod10, and a couple of other usernames, I/we expect exactly the same every time you weasel yourself back here, with false pension info......🥴- 1

How much do you pay for health insurance?
Hard to disagree with @mogandave's statement IMHO if he's referring exclusively to loosely-regulated policies with Thai underwriters! -

Morning Joe Ratings Plummet After Hosts' Meeting With Trump at Mar-a-Lago
Do you ever shut up with your nonsense? Please inform us what the reaction wax of Admiral McRaven when you informed him his pension will be worthless in 2 years. Or have you now bumped it up to 3 or 4 years with the selection of your new President Trump’s dream team cabinet. I know it’s happy hour but best not to post while intoxicated.
