alfieconn
Well seems like a bad day at the office, individual mistakes, no passion apart from Sandro, players not having a clue, not much more to say really apart from "i'm going back to bed". On the plus side my local team Chiang Mai FC got promoted to Div 1, although i missed the celebrations due to rushing back for our game . Footnote : To cap it all the missus used up all the eggs at the weekend so no omelette for me this morning

Chicog
In fairness, I remember us going to Old Trafford and getting an 8-2 drubbing, although having a small shrub and a decorative palm tree at centre half and being down to ten men didn't help. But we didn't have two 30 million pound players who looked more like they're worth 30 million Zimbabwe dollars.
MrRed
I think he should of started with Dembele in the middle and obviously Townsend on the wing. At least i do have a certain affinity with you as regards spending stupid money on players that are not up to scratch. Looking forward to our game next week already! Should be a cracker

StevieH
seems strange that spurs are as well off in the league as they are given how few goals they've scored. only two points off fourth but goal difference of minus three.
carmine
Totally unacceptable performance. Sandro aside, no passion, didn't turn up. We have a young side and a young manager and we must learn from that debacle. Very disappointing reading on Spurs forums, with plastic armchair fans wanting AVB sacked and the likes of Laudrup, De Boer appointed. All this and were still five weeks from christmas. Whilst i freely admit i can't see where were really going at the moment i think its ridiculous to talk of sacking him. Couple of points about the selection. I initially forgot that Paulinho had played twice for Brazil and with him being a near ever present for us he looked totally knackered and out of sorts. He decides to give Lamela a chance and proceeds to play the lad out of position. Play him right wing or in the center of the front three. Why the hell did AVB stick Holtby central and Lamela left? Makes no sense. Can someone please tell me why Assou Ekotto is out on loan when we have no specialist left back as cover for Rose, thus weakening our center back pairing which should be Kaboul/Vertonghen. Next weekend will be interesting, and we need a result to ease the pressure.......no doubt all the ABT's will be hoping United win and all you ABAVB's hope Villas-Boas gets sacked but you could all be wrong on both accounts. Well he's played in 11, but anyway you can keep clinging on to that. As for BFG, he was a proven international defender with something like 80 caps, so I think he deserved the benefit of the doubt. In terms of this game he did give away possession of the ball more than any other player, But you are right alfie, he needs time to show what he can do, make an impact and to do that he needs to play regularly. The question is, will AVB persist with him to see if he comes good, or lose his bottle and relegate the obviously talented kid back to the bench? Should be a cracker He should have paired Sandro with Dembele. Its a tried and proven pairing. Paulinho played twice for Brazil and was starting to look in need of a rest before the international break. Incidentally, if you take a look at Townsends atrocious stats theres no "obvious" at all about him playing. Everyones getting carried away because he had a good game for England. Have to say, thus far i think AVB has handled the Lamela situation poorly.
Zodiac
I watched the City game. AVB looks like a "dead man walking". And the song 'you don't know what you're doing' sounds just about right. At Chelsea he looked out of his depth, so what has changed?!

sotsira
I don't think it's a matter of what player should be playing in what position and in what formation anymore. When you look at the bigger picture we haven't managed to score a goal in open play in the last 4 league games, that's 360 minutes of football. That's the biggest worry that AVB is faced with especially when at one point or another he's tried and played all the players in the squad and nothing seems to be working out! If the team can't score goals or create at least 3 or 4 clear cut chances in a match then the buck stops with the coach and his staff.
