Its particularly nice when you see that your manager has reviewed what has been a poor recent record against Liverpool and worked out what has been going wrong.  The Liverpool press has been causing us problems along with their impressive pace going forward.  So, happy to cede possession we looked to counter attack.  Aurier played left because Salah is very quick and Poch clearly remembered Davies getting taken apart by Mane's pace last season.

So effective was the counter that had Son hit the net rather than the crossbar it would have been game over.  All in all a good game and very satisfying.  Thought our defense was very sound against what is a particularly dangerous attack thats always likely to score.

Whilst our injury list is a real concern its a huge benefit that our players are so adaptable both in playing different positions and switching set ups, should bode well for us especially if key players remain injured.

Looking forward to Old Trafford once we've played the Pikeys.

I expect we will see wholesale changes for the pikeys visit with it being three games in seven days and the last at Old Trafford.

Be interesting to see how our kids fare!

West Ham will play their socks off and their fans will be vile and abusive.....as per usual!!

Absolutely spot on Ronnie

Oh come now Bob.

Euphoric after mid-week game. Down in the dumps after this w/e.

Have to take the rough with the smooth more.

The road to the top can be a rocky one. Only Man City have not had a 'shock result'.

Nothing to get euphoric about, beating Slovenian pig farmers.

There are some very serious issues, Michael Edwards and whomever else behind the scenes screwed our most important summer in years need to be accountable. But they are not, they leave the manager to carry the can for them not getting his targets.

I'll happily continue this discussion on the LFC page a bit later, I've a load of fume to dump.

Good crowd that. Out of interest, what's your deal on the stadium? Do you get a % of the ticket sales or all of it and pay a fixed rent to Wembley or do you receive a fixed fee from Wembley?

We pay rent is all I know.

No idea on the % deal Levy has on ticket sales or merchandise/f&b inside the ground.

Out of interest, approx how many Liverpool fans made up that crowd?

Officially 3000 as per the rules BB but as this game went on general sale probably quite a few more.

Some games will not go on release due to security issies of course.

To put in perspective the Madrid game didn't get put on release cos we sold 87000 tickets just to members already.

The Irons got a rollicking at HT. Came out fighting. Spurs didn't fancy it.

If Spurs came through without any injuries then good result.

MUCH bigger games then this to come.
