Police Arrest Bag Snatchers.

Due to the quick thinking of a bag snatch victim, police from Soi 9 station were able to go to an apartment in the Soi Day-Night area of South Pattaya on Sunday and arrest a 21 year old Thai man and his 17 year old Thai girlfriend and charge them with theft.

According to the police, on the 16th of August a foreign man and his Thai wife were walking in the early evening near the Beach Resort in north Pattaya when two people on a motorbike slowed down and made a successful snatch and grab of the woman’s handbag. However, before they could disappear into the darkness the startled victims had the presence of mind to note the number plate of the offending motorbike. They then went to the police station and reported the theft.

Police then used the information to locate the alleged offenders and on Sunday raided the apartment of the motorbike owners and made an arrest. Down at the station the girl confessed that she and her boyfriend made a precarious living from stealing mobile phones, cameras and other valuables from unwary persons. She told police they had performed three similar thefts at Pattaya Park as well three robberies in the Wongamart area of north Pattaya. They used the cash from the proceeds of their robberies to purchase drugs and generally have a good time.

It’s just possible the good times may have come to a faster end than they might have liked.

Ah, pictures can be deceiving. What you don’t see is the screwdriver in the cops other hand positioned just so in the mans left ear.

How else do you think they got the little lady to spill the beans about their other robberies?
