PATTAYA: -- A man, who had been released from Prison on 9th February, was caught burglarizing an apartment as the occupiers slept. Other residents came to the rescue and detained the man before Police arrived to arrest him.

Police were called to the front of the Chockdee Inn Apartments in Soi Baukhao just before 4.30am on Thursday and arrested Khun Somnuk aged 45, who had just been released from prison.

Evidence of the burglary included a bag containing an IPhone 6, Apple Mac Computer and money. The suspect was also armed with a knife which was seized as evidence.

He is suspected of breaking-into a room occupied by two women who were asleep at the time. The pair awoke and screamed for help which came within seconds. The suspect attempted to escape and used the knife to fight off residents, who eventually overpowered the man and ensured he would not leave before Police arrived.

Well done the residents. Sometimes a little vigilante action is needed, and welcome, to enhance the often pathetic punishment metered out.

Looks like he got an attitude adjustment as well.

Its does indeed Chooka, it does indeed. Lets hope next time he is out, he can last a little longer before getting the shyt kicked out of him.

On a more serious note: Good on the residents coming to help quickly, a ex-con with a knife in your room is no laughing matter.

Looks like he will have to put his tooth brush up where the sun does not shine to clean his teeth... whistling.gif

I am not sorry for him,he had a knife and his intentions may have been worse the burglary.

Lets hope he learned a lesson that even a few years in prison would not teach him.
