Car camera

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with a car camera bought in CM? I would like to get one but I'm not sure where to get it and which cameras are reliable.

IT Square, Computer Plaza or Panthip shops sell man different brands from ~500 THB up. They may last 5 mins or 5 years. My latest one cost 1200 THB and is still going well after a year.

Google DVR dash cams for more info and quality models.

Use an Android or iPhone app. My ฿1000.- machine can't even read a car number plate and it talk me a week to understand the very badly translated and tiny print.

I bought one from Aliexpress , Novatek

Works perfect and no interference with my GPS like my first 300 bath camera did.

Loop recording and auto safe when have a shock ( accident )

Paid 1200 bath incl shipping.

Good luck.

Which model from Novatek?

Good luck.

I've had a few of these and have to say I got what I paid for. The cheap Chinese stuff was difficult to set up with poor instruction and the fittings that hold the things all broke or didn't do the job. I eventually spent 3000Bht on an HP model and have now fitted all the family cars with them. Excellent quality and easy to use - came with GPS stamping as well. 3000Bht might seem a lot but we have had one accident that was in dispute and the camera saved the day and well and truly paid for itself several times over. Also saved my no claims bonus.

I've been to Computer Plaza and Pantip and I have only seen the cheap Chinese models. Where did you get the HP model. Do you know the model number? I'd rather pay more and have a good camera.

Thanks.

Do these stores fit them? If not, I'm guessing the car audio shops have got in on this and are selling them.... anyone know of a place I can go, buy one, have it fitted and demonstrated?

I saw the HP F150 for 3000 baht at Tesco/Lotus today. I have know idea if it's good. Anyone try this model?

They also have a HP F210 for 5000 baht.
