Get the below again, time machine can't find both disks ( i keep 2 separate back ups in 2 locations ).

how i fix the last time, wipe all, and re-back up the whole lot, but this is becoming annoying. Anyone know how to recover.

Go to Options and delete the drives. Restart your Mac and add them again. (Don't need to wipe)

Thanks.... options under which app / screen. Know my Mac quite well, but still no expert after about 2 years migrating from Windows

In disk utility i can't see the disk ( but can connect to internet via Wifi / Apple capsule no problem )

Sounds like you are in business but check out SuperDuper. Much better than Time Machine as you can make a bootable back up. I lost a disk drive on a MacBook a few years ago and booted a backup copy on another machine and had all my desktop items and files available in minutes. After replacing the hard drive, it was easy to just drag the back up over.
