Thian
Have you ever seen how they fill the atm's? No security or nothing, just a man with a suitcase full of cash while the next machine is still working. Have they never been robbed while filling them? Pib
All the three suspects said they had committed such robbery using sling to tow the cash boxes by truck three times between January and February this year. The first was Siam Commercial Bank which was successful, while the second was Government Savings Bank which was foiled after passers-by saw them trying to tow the box with the sling tied to the truck. I know in Thailand confessing to a crime usually get your sentence cut in half, but why confess to other ATM crimes which might increase your total sentence? Seems when Thai crooks are caught by the police they almost always confess to every bad thing they did in the their life. But maybe the police tell the crooks if their confession helps to solve other crimes then that will probably reduce their overall sentence even more whether that's true or not. Or...perhaps they just beat the crap out of them until they will confess to anything !!
Stargeezr
I am glad that these thieves got caught, and if Thai prison is like most prisons in the world, they will also be very unhappy WHEN... they are caught picking up the soap in the communal shower room. Yeoooow! Good job to the police!

jacko45k
Well done police catching them. The criminals were a young group. Quite a difference between ATM machines and a mobile top up unit........ I am surprised it had so much as 400 baht in it.
saminoz
Call me a skeptic, but I wonder if the Police would have been quite so proactive had there only been 200 Baht in the machine?
