Need Thai IP Address

Featured Replies

I spend a lot of time abroad and need to have access to a Thai IP address when I'm travelling. Anyone know which provider/programme offers a good, reliable service for this? I need it either for an iPad or iPhone.

I really don't want to ask why you NEED a Thai IP address.

If it's for providing 'online classes' you should using a VPN or PROXY connection to fake Geo-Location doesn't work very well for that.

But if you really need to have a "THAI IP Address", you need eather a VPN or a PROXY service that allows you to specify a 'country' for the Internet-facing IP address.

Many vendors available on the apple AppStore. Try searching for TunnelBear.

You could also try using VPNGate, a Public VPN Relay Servers network run by volunteers around the world based on the FREE software developed at University of Tsukuba, Japan. Just look for a node located in Thailand and make the appropriate entries in your iOS Settings - VPN menu.

I use SoftEther, the same free VPN software on a Private PC located in the US that will give me a 'fixed' US-based IP address when I need it, though it's usually easier for me to use one of the 'free' proxy software service available through the apple AppStore when I want to stream video, as normally VPN connections are encrypted/decrypted which causes delays when using them for real-time video streaming.
