Doubt whether you'll find a place to stay in Buriram. You might get a place in Prakonchai or Ban Kruad (40 and 60 kms South of Buriram respectively) and travel from there to Buriram for the races.

really, i didn't know it was such a big deal. maybe i can find a friendly farm girl to take me in before she hits the bars and gets too jaded.

seriously, i can phut the passa and i don't mind a s-hole so i think i can find a hole in the wall place somewhere in town
