Here's a fantastic new feature rich bandwidth test. It has great graphics, gives you a global choice of servers, allows you to save and display your results, or share your results etc. etc. :D

Nice one, thanks. :D

:o This ought to become the new Gold standard in bandwidth meters. None that I've seen do better than this one.

Amazing - I love it :D

Excellent readings too :D

I'll stick with this, it cheers me up. :D

Your current bandwidth reading is:

273.07 Mbps

which means you can download at 34.13 MB/sec. from our servers.

279620.3 kbps YOU

Hi Lindsay,

what do get to NY & LA?

http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

LA 866kbps download 300kbps upload

NY 830kbps 278kbps

They're good numbers, I have yet to see more than 240 for uploading, and I'm on cable BB.

Yeah, its great! If you check http://www.speedtest.net and click on Singapore, you are actually testing against Thaivisa server. By the end of the week users will be zoomed in on their own region so they don't have to move around the map every time.

Thaivisa we will have a custom speedtest powered by speedtest.net up and running at http://speedtest.thaivisa.com at the end of this week.

Your current bandwidth reading is:

623.30kbps

which means you can download at 77.91 KB/sec. from our servers.

28.8 kbps dial-up

33.6 kbps dial-up

53.3 kbps dial-up

56 kbps ISDN

128 kbps ISDN

384 kbps DSL

623.3 kbps YOU

768 kbps DSL

1000 kbps DSL

1500 kbps DSL/T1/Cable Modem

TT&T ADSL modem 1024/512

I always thought that the higher figure was the download speed! :o

I always thought that the higher figure was the download speed! :o

this should be the case but many times, especially during peak times, I get a much faster up-load speed than download-speed.

Probably this has something to do with the amount of in- and out-bound traffic.

I have setup a new broadband speed test here:

http://speedtest.thaivisa.com/

The test measures download and upload speed to our new server located in Singapore, which is located direct on the international backbone.

This from my new TOT Ipstar connection;

Download Speed: 431 kbps (53.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 203 kbps (25.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

It is still fast enough for me BUT I cannot download anything successfully. Everything is corrupted.

Last Result:

Download Speed: 418 kbps (52.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 204 kbps (25.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Did 2 tests both the same

TOT silver cyber. Jomtien

The speedtest site is pretty spiffy, very nice looking. Underneath, it's still mostly the same test as the Speakeasy one (it's an extension, I believe), but it's certainly nice to look at.

Results from Thaivisa's server is 900k, result from speakeasy's server is 600k, on a Sunday. Loxinfo's SME 1mbit package.

666 and 84, using NTL 2MB connection, whats the story there. :D:o

redrus

I'm paying True 1,230 baht a month for 2Mbps. This is what the test said for my connection. Gets even slower around 5pm everyday.

Download Speed: 443 kbps (55.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 185 kbps (23.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

TOT ADSL on Phuket - 256k/128 connection - 500 Baht/month

Chiang Mai, dial-up from landline:

Download Speed: 23 kbps (2.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 105 kbps (13.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

the little icon on my taskbar always shows connected at 100mbps.
