Nickymaster
I believe it would be good to know what other forum members are riding when discussing motorcycle stuff. Just to know everyone a bit better. So what are you currently riding? And why did you chose this(these) bike(s)? I currently own 2 bikes here in LOS. A Ducati Multistrada 1200 for around Thailand. ...and a Suzuki RV125 VanVan for around town. I bought the Multistrada because it is the best all-round sport tourer available on the market IMO. Long suspension travel makes it ideal for the (often) bad Thai roads. And because it is assembled in Thailand (reasonable price). I bought the Suzuki RV125 VanVan because its large wheels and big seat makes it very comfortable to cruise around Bangkok. I also like the small air cooled 6 speed engine and the overall looks of the bike. Furthermore, please list all bikes you have owned (in Thailand). I have owned in Thailand: Kawasaki Ninja 250 Kawasaki KLX 250 Kawasaki ER6-n Kawasaki Versys 650 Ducati Monster 1100 Evo
Shurup
From left to right: 2005 Yam Dragstar 400 (for sale) 2014 Ninja 300 2015 Diavel Ninja is wife's bike but I put more km on it than she did. Good for in town riding, but I'm not in town very often. I lowered it one inch so she could reach the ground. When I ride it, I look like a bear on a bicycle. 555 Bought a Diavel as it's IMHO the only bike that fit different riding styles, sports riding, cruising, touring. It got power and it's comfortable on long rides, love it!
Shurup
Nice bike, the Multistrada! Looks good, and healthy, I see you feed it well.
NoshowJones
First. Honda Wave 125. had for 7 years. Great bike. Very reliable. Second. Yamaha Fino. Reliable bike. Had for 18 months. Greedy on fuel. Lost value dramatically. Now. Honda PCX 150. Great bike, cannot be faulted, excellent on fuel.

RubberSideDown
I've got a 2013 Kawasaki ZX-14R- as soon as I read the reports of it being introduced in late 2011, I knew I'd end up with one sooner or later, and Kawi Thailand added it in '13 - I love open-class sportbikes, and I owned a Hayabusa back in 2000. It's 'too much' for Thailand, but it's too much for pretty much anywhere- I don't care, and I love the rush of riding it, and it's an event every time I hit the starter button. I've got it modded to where it should be a bit above 200hp at the wheel (a stocker puts put ~190rwhp) and knocked about 15kg off the porky wet weight. I've also got a Grom, though I haven't used it much lately.

Shurup
@JonnyF Still no plates on your Duc? How long has it been? It's 3+ months for me now and still no plates. Had my wife hive dealer a call to inquire about the plate, they asked to resend the paperwork (<deleted>???) after some arguments they said no needd to resend. So still waiting. RubberSideDown
the 15kg must be those elephants of the stock pipes. This one looks much better! Yup, pretty much all of it- going from stainless-steel and ceramic pontoon-sized duals to a full titanium system (with a weight of just over 4kg including the header and can) made a huge difference. OmegaRacer
I started with a Tiger ST200 Boxer, bought second hand. Loved it. Sold it to buy the next bike. 1992 Suzuki Bandit 400. Good bike, but realized inline 4s are not my thing, sold it. After that, discovered my true love: 1998 Yamaha SR400. Will never sell it. Then a nicely restored small vintage enduro bike: 1973 Suzuki TS185. Pretty rare in Thailand. A keeper. Last year been looking for something bigger for touring. Found a 2009 Kawasaki ER6n with only 69km on the clock. Too good not to buy it. Great bike. Maybe will sell in a couple of years to fund a second hand Duc Scrambler or Triumph Newchurch. On the bucket list: Custom made Honda C70 for around town fun.

Had my wife hive dealer a call to inquire about the plate, they asked to resend the paperwork (<deleted>???) after some arguments they said no needd to resend. So still waiting. That's a pic from the day I got the bike, I got the plates almost 2 months to the day from when I picked it up and that was including a lucky number... Sounds like maybe they messed up the paperwork? If anyone was wondering what the road to the MX GP is like for the weekend, this pic was just after riding it on Saturday morning and it's not good. Tons of gravel, ruts and DEEP potholes especially if coming from the North side (346)

dave_boo
Started off in 05 with the carb'd CBR150. It and the Boss/Phantom were the biggest legal bikes at the time that didn't cost as much as a house. In 2008 got the Ninja 250. Once again the biggest bike available at the time. Of course Kawasaki released the 650s months later. 2013 bought my current 500X and returned to the Honda fold. Not as good of a city bike as the CBR150 (but what is?) and not as sporty as the Ninjette it still is a better choice for my uses. Having my head up higher means that I can plan routes through traffic better. Seems to have the same turning radius as the Ninja but the bars are higher making filtering easier. The added torque makes riding 2 up much more pleasant as does the nicer seat...especially the pillion. The added weight as well as the looks are a con. Range wise I can get over 400 km with driving like a granny resulting in over 500. Easy to find tyres as well as cheap replacement parts is a plus. guzzi850m2
My current bikes: Versys650 2015 PCX150 2012 Scoopy 2014 (Wife's bike) V650: Because of family commitments I am not riding much, I might not even ride 2000km on the V per year but nice to have it anyway. Now I got a buddy in my moo baan that rides a Ducati Hyperstrada, so I go riding with him when we are both home at the same time (we are both in oil off-shore, world wide). I hope we will go for a few days touring in the future, Koh Chang and things like that but on weekdays only, our kids take up the weekends. I love the bike, very comfortable and enough grunt for fun riding. PCX150: My Pattaya down town bike, love it man, smooth and comfortable. Scoppy: I hate it, too cramped, clearly a budget scooter from Honda. Use it for very short rides, beer hauling and stuff like that so it is after all a bit useful to me, LOL. Ex bikes (In Thailand): Harley Road King 2002 with 1550cc engine, sold it shortly after my son was born, no more 2up touring, loved it, but big and heavy. Yamaha Fino, about same bike as Scoopy Honda Wave 125: Owned 3 over the years, good little bikes but prefer auto scooter for down town riding. Tiger Retro/W sidecar: Easily the worst piece of shit bike I ever owned, conical electric problems, paint around tank destroyed because of overfill once, bad bad. Honda Novo?? 125cc 2 stoke that could go like a bat out of hell, fun little bike. 6 gears.

Marcel1
Started out with something of which I can't remember the name It was a 5000 Baht oldie just to check if I would survive traffic in bkk when I came to live here. Than bought a Honda click which I still have to date, love it since it's easy for in bkk, drive it to work and do my shopping on it. Time for a step up when I bought this wonderful CB400, unfortunately without papers which made me eventually sell it, would consider buying a 1300 some day. Bought and fixed up this Vulcan which was also a great bike to own but gave too many problems so I sold it. Tired of the fixings from the cb400 and Vulcan I bought a new ninja300 when it was just released, fun bike but it got boring quite quick and the missus hated siting pillion. (understandable). Now I drive the versys 650 which I really love. Just for the comfort and the upright riding position it's perfect for in Thailand (for me and my budget at least). Had a nouvo somewhere in time as well no pics. So to currently I'm riding the honda click and versys650. My list of bikes which I stil would like to own is way too long to name
Dutchbike
Still own all the bikes I bought in Thailand: Click-i (bike from the mrs) No pic needed I guess. NSR 150 SP TZR 150R ( now a cafe racer) KLX 250 TZM 150 New old stock bike my favorite and parked in my office) latest addition: Lifan 200 cross, bought from friend who left Thailand, project bike will become cafe racer/street tracker and finally: from Holland a vintage Sparta moped stashed in the container when I moved to Thailand (This was bought brand new in 1967 by my Mother and I couldn't part from it :-)) Number one ( at this moment) on my bucket list is the CBR650F as a nice allround sports/tour bike Hope Honda brings out a Repsol edition. Nickymaster
Great contributions. It always amazes me how much you can learn about a person (poster) if you know what they are riding. I really hope that this thread stays civilized because it could/should go on for a long time. Which should be fairly easy because this is no topic for arguments. Just share what you ride and that's it.
