SINGAPORE: -- A Thai woman has been arrested and allegedly charged with murder on Tuesday in Singapore.

According to Straitstimes, Sukanya Praphuttha, 41, who appeared shaken, is alleged to have caused the death of Mr Lee Yang Boo, 55, at a flat in North Bridge Road on Sunday.

The charge was read to her by a Thai interpreter.

According to a statement, police were informed that a man had a fall at the flat at 4.39am. The man was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.

The prosecution applied for Sukanya to be remanded at Changi Women’s Prison for psychiatric assessment. The case will be mentioned again on March 24.

Thai Embassy in Singapore said it was informed of the case by police but visit us not yet permitted as she is still under psychiatric assessment.

Once the case is completed, visit will be permitted as well as appointment of a lawyer.

A quite obvious bruise - her face looks a bit marked too.

Who knows what happened - wouldn't be the first time a hooker took a kicking from a John. Lets see what the Singapore police have to say.

So we don't know if she has been charged then? It's only alleged! I suppose she can fly back to Thailand while they figure out if she is under arrest or not.

Apparently you didn't read the whole article. She's being held in prison, pending a psych evaluation. She's not going anywhere.

So, if they fall to their death in Singapore it isn't suicide? w00t.gif

not without a balcony, the roller bearings on the end of his walking stick was a bit suspicious.

The Straits Times suggests a fall in the flat rather than a fall from the balcony but it is not altogether clear.

someone forgot to tell her that when the police come in Singapore they cant be bargained with. Also they wont just take her word as truth and wont 555 and say it was a suicide.

Apparently you don't understand ....the comment was made because of the poor translation into English. ..the Thai woman was charged with allegedly murdering someone ...she was NOT "allegedly charged "there is no doubt that she was charged..

.get it? ?
