For me it was :-

1 - By a long way - Scotland v England at Murrayfield for the Grand Slam 1990

2 - Camp Nou Barcelone v Real Madrid 1999 - the year Barcelona were unstoppable - 110,000 and amazing day. So many stars and classic el classico. Lucky I happened to be on holiday there to witness Rivaldo, Raul etc.

2- Essendon v Carlon 1993 at Melbourne Cricket Ground Grand Final Oz Football - Huge crowd and great atmosphere even though I never understood the rules of thegame..

Wongchumu vs Baan Bungkha under 12 football match on a dirt pitch. I can't remember who won but it was fun to watch.

The first state of origin rugby league match in Australia. NSW v Queensland. Actually any origin game is titanic.

i played football against Ian Botham,,, great guy and a good craic after the game,

All Blacks against Wallabies at the SCG in 1984 (last time I saw the ABs live). One point win to the ABs, and boy did we celebrate at the London Tavern in Paddington that night.

I played cricket rarely but one time we went to Gordonston, I played against Prince Edward. They were all <deleted>, the King of Saudis son was playing too and there were bodyguards hanging around at silly mid off.

2nd innings, 2nd test match at Eden Park in Auckland I think 1953, maybe '54. New Zealand bowled out for 26, lowest score ever made in test matches before or since. The three English fast bowlers, Trueman, Statham and Tyson.

2013 My son wearing green and gold in his first international rugby league game in NZ against the kiwis. They won all 3 games that tour.

Sorry. No wonder i missed it...

A late season game in the Canadian Football League in the 1970's. Frozen field. Night game. Frozen fans stayed til the end. Calgary vs Saskatchewan, played in Regina. Final score 24 -23. Outcome decided in the final seconds. Name of marching band: The Brass Monkeys.

They play good hard football up in Canada. Lots of players who didn't make the cut in the NFL, but still great play. Some guys make a name up there and then go South to star in the Big Show. Two who did: Warren Moon and Doug Flutie.

There are many nations accused of ovine nailing. Be more specific.

The 1966 World Cup Final on black and white TV at home. The sight of Nobby Styles clutching the cup, grinning with nearly all his teeth missing was priceless.

The England- Australian Test when England were truly on the ropes and Botham came in and turned the whole game around. I can't remember which Test match it was but it was truly amazing.

I'd have to give the Adelaide grand prix the points also.

My old man took me to the first I think it was 1985? Anyway we had great gold seat tickets. I was young then and it was great to see those now retired drivers race.

For the record Keke Rosberg won the race.
